The United States of Grapeland

     The United States of Grapeland (USG), otherwise known as Grapeland, is a country in east Fridgia, and is populated by grapes, grapefruits, cucumbers, gherkins, and zucchini.

The current President Of Grapeland (POG) is  Gurp. Past POGs include Pog, a grape with an interest in science, math, and diagramming; Vineg, a grape with a large moustache. The USG UF representatives are Gurp, a grape who does what is best for the country, and Hero Grape, a grape who does what is best for the planet, but whose real name is mysterious. 

The USG is a relatively new country, formed at 368 MA. It was formed after a rebellion led by Cheeseograpean Coleader (and future POG) Vineg, after King Kongzilla III made an unfair and completely pointless law about taxes. This triggered the Cheeseograpean Civil War.

 As the war came to an end, the grapes were surprised by an invasion by the MBW, called the Mango-Banana siege. This siege ended abruptly when the MBW boats started getting to heavy, and Citron 6001, along with several other citrus fruits and berries, came and confiscated all of Grapeland’s Coconut Catapults, (which were being used to fire U-Blast Torpedoes at invaders) because of the recent Disarment Treaty. 

About a month after the Mango-banana siege, Pog and Hero Grape were abducted by Evil Pea, and their disappearance caused the grapes to panic, although Gurp managed to control them just enough for the country to stay together, but not enough to notice Cheeseland breaking the Disarment Treaty. Eventually, Supabanana found them and brought them to a Cheeseni jail, but they escaped when a mob of angry cherries invaded Cheeseland. 

A week after their return, many of the cucumbers, gherkins, and zucchini started trying to gain independence from the grapes. Grape officials feared another rebellion, and as the last rebellion left them defenceless, and they were still recovering, a referendum vote was held. The majority of the population voted for the cucumbers, gherkins, and zucchini to have their own country, the Picklonian Tri-State Area (PTSA), which remained allied with Grapeland. They built up a huge number of spaceships, called Solarfighters, in case they needed to defend the disarmed USG or themselves.

 After the Cheeseograpean Civil War, Cheeseland strangely never tried to invade Grapeland until after the use of their 5th superweapon, the Moon Rake, when the invasion was distracted by Crystal Squad, allowing Hero Grape, P.O.G. Pog, and President Gherkumber to escape and tell the planet about the superweapon. 

While the PTSASF were attacking the Moon Rake, the Nachotron 3.o rampaged through Winé, until Commander Oaky forced Chedderal to escape.

Grapeland was the home to a baby dragonfruit, a pterosauroid previously thought extinct, and where the Broccoli Beast was until it destroyed UFHQ in Berryland.

Just like most other countries, USG was surrounded by Crumbustion-2 Breadnoughts at the beginning of Cheesemaggedon, but a shipment of water balloons delivered by Gurp, Hero Grape, and  a superhero named Supergrape, helped the grapes force the breadnoughts into retreat.

After the Fridgian war, P.O.G. Pog was voted out of office, and Gurp became the new P.O.G., Promising to fix the voting system, and Farming Subsidies! He then changed the election system to a semi-direct democracy.

Grapeland is also the country where Hyper-concentrated Water was found to have the property of reverse-rasination, and also where the Grapean-Nutch Alliance Treaty was signed.
