Citrus Kingdom

The Citrus Kingdom is a country in east Fridgia, populated by various citrus fruits (lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruits, yuzus, pomelos, blood oranges). The climate is temperate, and a bit tropical towards the southwest. It is divided into various states.

The Citrus Kingdom is a constitutional monarchy, and the current ruler is King Alex the XVIIth. No one knows why, but all of the kings and queens of the Citrus Kingdom have to be named Alex. The Citrus Kingdom has numerous UF representatives, due to the large amount of different fruits that live there.

The lemon, lime and orange states were the first to emerge, in around 632 BMA, with the grapefruits coming soon after, in around 575 BMA. The states were constantly fighting along the lime-grapefruit border, and for control over Pliffle Island. 

The Cheeseograpean empire conquered all of the citrus states in the year 8 BMA. The grapefruits tried to rebel, but were swiftly dispatched by the cheeses and grapes. The Cheeseograpean occupation saw extreme oppression towards the citruses, with execution and torture rampant. Around eight years later, the Cheeseograpean puppet state in East Applia was being liberated by an enormous West Applian force. The governor of the occupied citrus territory conscripted thousands of locals to go and fight off the attackers, only to realize he had just armed all of the people who hated him. He fled the territory, and was later executed for first-degree incompetence. The recently mobilized citrus revolted, inspiring everyone else to rise up against their occupants. This was very successful. A few months later, in 1ma, the citrus states combined into one country in the Grapefruitia Unification Treaty. 

In the year 368ma, the cheeses attacked Pliffle Island. They failed miserably, and ran away from the Citrus Kingdom navy. Commander Lima had planned a very good defense, and this made the cheeses loose the advantage they had. King Alex the XVIIth gave the north of Pliffle island to the grapes for their help. Afterwards, Citron 6001 went to Grapeland to enforce the disarmament treaty.

Capital state

Capital: Citrus City

Inhabitants: All citruses

The capital state is self-explanatory. It was formed out of part of the lime and grapefruit states in the Grapefruitia Unification Treaty. The Ligaf river runs through it.

Grapefruit state

Capital: Grapefruitia

Inhabitants: Grapefruits

The grapefruit state is the farming part of the kingdom. It is covered in citrus tree groves.

Lime state

Capital: Limé City

Inhabitants: Limes, Pomelos

The lime state is the research and industrial hub of the Citrus Kingdom. The Mes river runs through it, and the Lino river and mountains form the border with Coastalmon.

Coastalmon

Capital: Coastalmon

Inhabitants: Lemons, Pomelos

Coastalmon is a very nice place to visit, and just like the other lemon states, its’ economy is mostly tourism and trade-based. It is the main hub for the Citrus Kingdom Aquatic Superhighway.

Orange State

Capital: Orangés

Inhabitants: Oranges, Blood Oranges

The Orange State is a much smaller state, and is more densely populated than all of the others. Citron 6001 comes from here, as does the Blood Orange elite navy

The Citrus Kingdom is also the main research place in Fridgia, and has a space organization and a “Big thing that hits tiny things together really hard to make new tiny things” (BTTHTTTRHTMNTT) (particle accelerator)
